StudentLinks provides tutoring, study support and student mentorship. The scope of a session depends on the subject, the student’s needs and tutor availability. Selected university or college support may be available depending on the subject and type of work.
Educational support, not guaranteed outcomes
Tutoring is intended to support learning and academic development. StudentLinks does not guarantee a particular grade, test score, admission result, course outcome or other academic result.
Student responsibility and academic integrity
Students remain responsible for understanding and submitting their own work. StudentLinks may explain concepts, review drafts, provide feedback, help plan work and create practice materials, but will not complete graded assignments, tests, exams or other assessed work on a student’s behalf.
Bookings
A booking is confirmed when the booking process indicates that the session has been accepted or confirmed. Session type, duration, price, location or online format, and other booking details shown during the booking process form part of the booking.
Fees and payment
Fees are shown before booking or otherwise communicated before the service is provided. Tutoring currently starts at $60 CAD/hour. Available payment methods may vary. Where a third-party payment provider is used, that provider processes payment information under its own terms.
Changes, cancellations and rescheduling
Any cancellation, rescheduling, notice-period or refund terms shown for a session during booking apply to that booking. If no specific rule is shown, contact StudentLinks as soon as reasonably possible if a session needs to be changed.
In-person sessions
For in-person tutoring, the agreed meeting location and practical arrangements should be suitable for the student and tutor. A parent or guardian remains responsible for appropriate supervision, transportation and arrangements outside the tutoring session itself.
Website information
We aim to keep the website accurate and current, but availability, subjects, tutors, pricing and service details may change. The information confirmed for a particular booking takes precedence over general website information if there is a difference.
Third-party services
StudentLinks may use third-party services for scheduling, communications, website infrastructure and payments. Use of those third-party services may also be subject to their own terms and privacy policies.
